PERFORMANCE
Celebrating the company’s 15th anniversary, Capitolo XV brings together two works exploring the friction between body, community, and collective memory. Jill Crovisier’s Mahalaga Landscapes (2022) was created as a site-specific piece bridging natural landscapes and industrial heritage—a contemporary ritual reconnecting the body and its land. (LA)HORDE’s People Used to Die (2014) dives into online dance cultures, channeling the raw energy of Jumpstyle and Hardjump into a powerful, high-octane choreographic experience. Two distinct visions celebrating contemporary dance heritage, reimagined today through the energy and sensitivity of the Equilibrio Dinamico dancers.
COMPANY AND CHOREOGRAPHERS
Founded in Bari in 2011 by Roberta Ferrara, Equilibrio Dinamico is a contemporary repertoire company shaped by international collaborations and diverse artistic practices. Supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, the company blends performance, training, and global artistic exchange. Capitolo XV marks their journey alongside two major European voices: (LA)HORDE, the innovative French collective heading the Ballet National de Marseille, known for exploring the intersection of dance, digital culture, and society; and Luxembourgish choreographer Jill Crovisier, whose research focuses on identity, belonging, and social dynamics.
