MoDem is the language developed by Roberto Zappalà and his company over the last few years. It is based on simple criteria, linked to flows, to harmonies that the body exercises on a daily basis, through a methodology that also tends to encourage contamination between participants in the work group. The most physical section of the workshop consists of strengthening the body and mind through intense and powerful muscular work.
Trained in Spain, Fernando Roldán Ferrer collaborates permanently with Compagnia Zappalà Danza and has danced for twelve years in almost all the company’s productions.
In the past six years Fernando collaborated with Roberto Zappalà as assistant and teacher of the MoDem language.
In 2011 he started his choreographic experimentation, and in 2016 he began his artistic collaboration with artist Alessandro Sollima, with whom he created several works.
He is the director of the MoDem Atelier program, produced by Scenario Pubblico CZD / National Dance Production Centre.
