PERFORMANCE
The collaboration between Visavì Gorizia Dance Festival and Jazz & Wine of Peace – two of the region’s most significant cultural organisations – has given rise to a unique partnership dedicated to the creation of an original performance. For the first time, the two festivals are bringing contemporary dance and jazz music into dialogue through an artistic residency, conceived as a space for research, listening and experimentation. The result will be a performance in which body and sound influence one another, giving rise to a creative process based on improvisation and connection.

ARTISTS
The project’s protagonists are the dancer and performer Martina Auddino, who starred in Roberto Castello’s *Inferno* – winner of the 2022 Ubu Prize for best dance production – and who has for years been engaged in site-specific and multidisciplinary research with ALDES and the Cifra Danza Teatro collective, and saxophonist and composer Nicolò Ricci, one of the most interesting voices on the new European jazz scene, founder of the Ambergris project and a collaborator with ensembles such as the Sun-Mi Hong 5tet and Tijn Wybenga’s Brainteaser Orchestra. Two distinct artistic paths that find common ground in the encounter between movement and music, leading to a shared creative endeavour.
