The ‘king’ is neither a person nor a hero. It is an invisible force that governs human relationships, an emotional power that dominates and destroys, yet at the same time heals. Love becomes an act of truth, violent because it does not lie.
Through encounters, losses and silences, we will experience first-hand the contradiction of loving, the need to belong and the need to remain free.
THE KING IS LOVE demonstrates that love does not save, does not console, does not fix, but reveals. And in that revelation, even when it hurts, lies a profound relief: that of finally feeling alive.

COMPANY AND CHOREOGRAPHER
Contemporary ACNE is a Junior Company made up of young dancers aged between 13 and 20, founded with the aim of promoting the art, sensibility and culture of dance amongst the younger generations, guiding them on a journey of personal and professional growth. The project was conceived. The project was conceived and is directed by Marianna Basso, an emerging dancer and choreographer on the Italian contemporary scene, who shares her artistic and educational experience with the participants. Contemporary ACNE provides a space for research, training and a pathway to a professional career, based on the sharing of a common artistic vision and on education through the arts.
