PERFORMANCE
Visavì Experimental Contest is a performance platform that focuses on improvisation as a means of encounter and exchange. Dancers from different backgrounds and with different techniques are invited to share the stage, engaging in dialogue with one another and with the live music. Each performance comes into being at the very moment it takes place, transforming this exchange into an opportunity for listening, taking risks and invention. Rather than a traditional competition, the contest takes the form of an open workshop where different artistic languages meet, influence one another and generate new possibilities for connection through dance.

COMPANY AND PROJECT
The Visavì Experimental Contest stems from the successful experience of Bellanda Suite, a two-day event featuring hip-hop, breakdance and contemporary dance created in Cormons in 2016 by Artisti Associati and Compagnia Bellanda.
Founded in 2012 by Giovanni Leonarduzzi, known by his stage name Gava, Bellanda emerged from research rooted in breakin’ culture and has evolved towards the languages of contemporary dance. Since 2017, the company’s artistic journey has been enriched by its collaboration with Claudia Latini, giving rise to a choreographic practice that weaves together urban movement, contemporary composition and partnering. Over the years, Bellanda has made a name for itself at international festivals, platforms and events.
