Have you been to Gorizia before?
Yes, we were lucky enough to receive an invitation and perform Profumo d'Acacia at the first edi-tion of Visavì Gorizia Dance Festival.
What do you look forward to doing again?
We can’t wait for a city like Gorizia to come alive with a dance festival. One of the few times we can experience this thrill “at home”, and we are not forced to go out of our region or country to find it.
What awaits you after Visavì?
The Bilbao Act festival in November, where I’ll perform my solo project, a short piece called Sono Solo Tuo Padre.
You have the power to do one thing to change the world of dance: what is it?
I don’t know. I focus on my own path, on my artistic growth and on staying true to my visions. I think about my own little sphere, and I always try to do and to give my best, I don’t think I can be the one telling what has to change in this world. Let alone dance!
If you could give one piece of advice to yourself as a child, what would it be?
Always try your best. What you can do today, just do it! Don’t procrastinate and don’t spare your-self, whatever the field. Find your goal and go straight ahead, don’t let dead weights slow you down, and learn everything you can from everyone, because there is always something to learn.
And to a new dance company moving its first steps?
I wouldn’t know, I am that very company!
Three words to describe what dance is to you.
Relinquishment, pain, passion
Tell me briefly what your show is about. Now convince me to come and see it :)
"Aganis" is about a Friulian legend, which we try to show in a contemporary key. It tells the story of women-like nymphs and warriors, of mythological figures that have always existed, but no-one has ever really seen them.
