As part of the Visavì Experimental Contest, every year a study and training session with guest professionals is organised for young students and dancers. This year’s guest is choreographer Valerio Longo, deputy artistic director of Balletto di Roma. With a long career as a performer at Aterballetto company, Longo started his choreographic research in 2004, creating works for major Italian companies and theatres (including Astor for Balletto di Roma). At the same time, he devotes himself to training projects catered to younger generations.
Longo’s workshop at Visavì Gorizia Dance Festival is not only a valuable training opportunity, but it also counts as an audition for the Professional Training Course (CAP) of Balletto di Roma.
